Conspiracy for fun: Is there a connection between the decline in birth rates and alcohol consumption?

I currently work with two segments - healthcare and brewing.
In both segments, we have been observing a long-term decline in both birth rates and beer consumption.
We probably all notice that the behavior of the younger generation is different from that of us 50+.
...and so I wondered, smiling over a glass of beer, if these two declines were somehow related by chance 🤔
As a generation of 50+, I remember that:
· in the past, new lives were often "planned" spontaneously,
· mostly "on Friday",
· mostly "after a beer",
· and mostly "without Excel and strategy".
Today, BEER has competition in the form of "Prosecco and Netflix."
FERTILITY has competition in the form of "mortgages and careers"
So my working hypothesis is:
LESS BEER = LESS "random projects" = LESS BIRTH
And maybe reintroduce Friday teambuildings with a risk factor of +9 months 😄
